Members of the Committee to Assess the Progress of the 9-Point Smart Agenda in the state have been urged to think creatively and strategically on how to allocate resources efficiently and maximise impact.
The Chairman of the Committee and Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, made the plea while inaugurating members of the Committee at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Governor’s Office.
Alhaji Idris Gobir stated that every member of the Committee is expected to bring unique perspectives and invaluable expertise, noting that it is through collective cooperation that the desired objectives will be achieved.
The Deputy Governor explained that the 9-Point Agenda serves as the blueprint of the state government, hence the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure the actualisation of its targeted goals.
He expressed optimism that, given the calibre of members, the Committee would successfully deliver on its mandate.
Earlier, the Vice Chairman of the Committee and Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr Abubakar Mohammed Zayyana, described the 9-Point Agenda as a social contract with the people of the state and a bold commitment to secure lives, empower the future, and build a foundation for sustainable and inclusive development.
Dr Zayyana noted that the occasion marked a critical transition from planning to actionable and coordinated implementation.
He urged members of the Committee to be guided by data, evidence, collective lived experiences, problem-solving, and unwavering commitment.
