    JAMB Shifts Date For Final Assessment Of Under-Age Candidates

    Following the release of Senior Secondary Schools Examination results by the National Examination Council (NECO), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has, in collaboration with representatives of the chosen universities of underage candidates who sat the 2025 UTME, shifted the final date for the assessment of affected candidates.

    The Board said in a statement that as at the close of the submission date for the screening scores, 23 out of the 71 universities chosen by the candidates are yet to submit the Post-UTME screening scores of their candidates.

    According to the statement signed by the Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the following universities are affected. They are University Of Lagos, (39 students), Nile University Of Nigeria (18), Nnamdi Azikiwe University (15), University Of Abuja (12), University Of Uyo (9), Federal University Of Technology, Owerri (8), David Umahi Federal University Of Health Sciences (6), University Of Calabar (6), Lagos State University (5), Bingham University (3), Federal University, Lokoja (2), Lead City University(2), Mcpherson University (2), Abia State University (1), Bayelsa Medical University (1),  Claretian University (1), Dennis Osadebay University (1), Federal University Of Technology (1), Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture (1), Modibbo Adama University (1), and Rhema University, Aba (1).

    “By this press release and emails sent to these defaulting universities, they are urged to submit their screening scores without further delay.

    “Furthermore, the Board wishes to remind all public universities to submit their recommended candidates on CAPS on or before Tuesday, 30th September 2025, while all private universities are to submit their recommendations on or before Friday, 31st October 2025.

    “This is to ensure that the deadlines of 30th October 2025, for public universities, and 30th November 2025, for private universities are achieved.

    “These dates are sacrosanct as decided at the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions under the chairmanship of Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education,” the board said.
