The 2025 edition if the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), commenced, as scheduled, across Nigeria today with several candidates appearing at the different exam centers for the test.

Our reporter who visited some of the examination centers in Dutse and Kubwa, observed that the candidates wrote the exams in conducive atmospheres.

Visiting Total Child Computer CBT Center in Dutse and Ade-Ola International School in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of Abuja of the Federal Capital Territory, our reporter said the exams began on schedule.

When visited, Mrs Oluwasegun Soladoye, a staff of JAMB BVRO told our reporter that the exam started around 8:02 am and end by 10: 07am and the next section will be around 3pm.

The same thing happened in Ade-Ola International School, Kubwa where the Head of the School Mrs Mercy Adegbe informed our reporter that at the morning section which started by 8am , 3000 candidates registered but 14 candidate did not show up. It also ended by 10am. Next will be by 3pm also.

According to Mrs Soladoye, the center has two special candidates, a deaf and a dump in a whealchair.

When contacted, Moss Bola, a candidate that sat for the first session of the examination, said she was very happy because she really prepared for the exam. “It was very easy for me,” she said while praying to score high marks to enable her proceed to the university.

On the issues of System failure, the candidate spoken testified that JAMB really tried. They were not disappointed. They wrote their examination with ease.

JAMB maintained a successful records on its systems during the UTME examinations as no incidences of system failure were recorded.

The exam invigilators were astonished as the examination that was scheduled for two hours, candidates finished within 40 to 45 minutes.
