The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has felicitated with the Christian faithful in Nigeria and the world for the successful completion of the Lenten season, which culminates in the celebration of Easter following the triumphant resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In his Easter message, released on Good Friday, 18th April, the Executive Secretary stated that without the resurrection, there is no Christianity. He affirmed that Easter is a message of resurrection and a message of renewed hope.

According to the Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka stated that the NCPC Boss further emphasized that Easter is a call to sacrificial living, stating that without Easter, there is no message.

He urged Christians to ensure they live in peace with all people, especially among those of other faiths. His words: “Let us live peacefully. We need peace in the world and in Nigeria.”

Bishop Adegbite further enjoined Christians to pray for a better Nigeria after the resurrection.

He admonished Nigerians to embrace peace and be their brothers’ keepers, stating that there is nothing to gain from killing others.

The NCPC helmsman urged the Christian faithful to celebrate with moderation and extend hands of fellowship to people around them. “Be good ambassadors of Christ,” he said.

Additionally, the Executive Secretary of NCPC maintained that it shall be well with the President of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all those who mean well for our dear nation Nigeria.
