    Minister Champions Nigeria’s Educational Reform At Harvard Conference

    The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman (SAN), has demonstrated Nigeria’s commitment to transformative education by participating in the prestigious Ministerial Leadership Forum at Harvard University.

    According to the statement released by the Director Press & PR, Folasade Boriowo to the newsmen stated that the event, hosted by Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for International Development, focused on “Getting to Equity and Scale in Successful Education Programs” as part of the Global Education and Research Unleashing Potential (GEAR UP) Initiative.

    This high-profile program brought together 23 ministers from various countries to explore strategies for recognizing successful educational initiatives and ensuring equitable access for students worldwide.

    During his presentation at Harvard, Professor Mamman participated in a panel discussion alongside with esteemed ministers, including Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie of Sierra Leone and Dr. Torerayi Moyo of Zimbabwe. He shared insights on Nigeria’s educational reform efforts, emphasizing the importance of infusing originality, communication, and digital skills into school curricula from primary to secondary levels.

    Professor Mamman aims to create a “new character” for Nigeria’s education system. He finalized an action plan to implement his legacy goals for the sector while discussing with them at Harvard faculty.

    Professor Mamman’s contributions were widely recognized, earning him a certificate of successful completion from Harvard Kennedy School. This marks a significant milestone in his journey towards transforming Nigeria’s education landscape.

    The forum featured influential leaders, including Jakaya Kikwete, Former President of Tanzania, and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization. Their presence enriched discussions on leadership and educational development.
